A Great place for that Car collection, Great Restoration shop, to store, or work on Aircraft and have your own practice strip.
It is a Federally Licensed Airport through Transport Canada.
You cannot build an Airport like this anymore in Ontario, Canada.
It is with Great sorrow and Regret, but the Essex Airport is Up For Sale.
My Dad, Mom and Us kids help build the Essex Airport starting back in 1978.
We have many memories, some Great and some very Sad ones.

My Dad was an AME for many years, and we worked on Aircraft here. My Dad was also an AMO for a few years until he started to become sick. He was a very well-known Pilot and Aircraft Engineer.
The Airfield is app. 2,000' long x 84' wide, Federal Land through Transport Canada. Comes with 3 Hangers, (7 Aircraft can be stored inside the 3 hangers)
Parking for many outside. 2 hangers were built in 1999 - these 2 are approximately 32' x 40', the larger ones - approximately 110' x 48'.
House 3-to-4-bedroom house, 1.5 bathrooms, dining room, kitchen, living room, rec room, laundry room, and office, and a large cemented crawl space under the main floor (Under the kitchen, dinning & living rooms).
